Days ago,my Russian friend asked me why circular vibrating screen could not start up,however,the amplitude was quite small even if it start up,and the screening efficiency is quite bad,here I summarize the reasons as follows:
1.The circular vibrating screen motor breaks down,please replace the motor;
2.The electrical equipment control circuit fails,please maintain and replace the electrical equipment;
3.The voltage is low,you can alter the power supply;
4.There are many accumulation materials on the surface,please clean up the material;
5.The screen itself has fault,please check and maintain the vibrating screen;
6.The lubricating oil is over thick or caking,please clean the screen and add new lubricating oil;
7.You can also add balance weight to increase the amplitude.
Besides,please also note that the adjustment of vibration source on vibrating screen(exciter or vibrating motor) must be same,or it will cause equipment damage.

3.Thickness test of paint coating.

Adhere the coating thickness meter probe to the equipment surface,then the data is the coating thickness of this point.Since the equipment surface area is large,it should be tested with many areas, it also requires multiple measurements to take average.

4.Amplitude test of equipment

After equipment runs normally,adhere the amplitude measuring scale to the side wall of screen box.There are many different circles with different diameter,and the movement locus will become to ellipse due to vibration,however, circles’ movement locus is still a circle,it shows that this circle’s diameter is very approached to the equipment amplitude,therefore,the circle diameter is vibrating amplitude.
All tests above have their own standard data,when the testing data has big difference with standard data,we will debug repeatedly to ensure equipment with a optimum working condition.

Trommel screen has two kinds of structures of shaft and shaftless. Both of them can be used for some common bulk materials, while according to the application working condition, the appropriate one must be selected for some materials with special properties.

The drum is fixed aslope on the main frame. Motor, reducer and drum are connected by a coupling, and the driving drum rotates around an axis. Owing to the inclination and rotation of drum, the materials on the screen surface can move forward and roll. The materials will be divided into two parts: the qualified one will be discharged from the bottom hopper, and the unqualified one will be discharged from the end outlet. The rotation of the material in the drum makes the blocked material bounce out of the aperture, preventing the mesh blocking.

Trommel screen with shaft is generally used for screening granular material with large density, such as: sand, coal, limestone, fertilizer, compost and mineral, etc.

Shatless trommel screen


The shaftless trommel screen is installed horizontally. Generally, the rotate speed of the drum of motor wheel gear or motor chain is very slow, and the length of the drum can be designed longer to increase the screening efficiency. There is a delivery plate inside the drum, which can make the material move forward. The material which is larger than mesh size will be discharged at the end outlet, and the material which is smaller than mesh size will be discharged at the bottom discharge hopper. If the material is household garbage, a cutting tool is also can be added to rive some plastics bags, etc.

Shaftless trommel screen is usually used for screening material with small density, such as: waste, wooden chips, activated carbon, fertilizer, construction material, chemical material, etc.

After the circular vibrating screen production was completed,and there is an important step before delivery goods,that’s test running,and judge the equipment whether can work normally through equipment running condition,please see following test items:
1.Measuring rotary speed of principal shaft
The test principle is through infrared sensor scanning a fixed point on the shaft to confirm the rotary speed.Firstly,pasting the measured speed tags on rotor surface.then running the equipment,after the normal running,let the tachometer probe aims at one point on the tag movement locus,record the data,and it requires multiple measurements to take average.
2.Noise test of equipment running.
A good equipment should work without abnormal sound,after the equipment running normally,place the noise meter probe near the running parts of vibrating screen,record the data, it requires multiple measurements to take average.

Stainless steel vibration sieve will become matt if they are used for a long time, when screening materials with chemical reactions (such as corrosion) ,there would be a passivation film on the surface, it will exist steadily as a shape of the oxide in the nature. In other words, though stainless steel working conditions and oxidation are not the same, they will be oxidized in the end, this phenomenon is often called corrosion. The metal which is exposed in the corrosive environment, it will produce electro-chemical or chemical reaction on the surface of metal, even corrode. Corrosion resistance abilities of vibrating sieve passivation film are weak, due to stress caused by pitting corrosion reactions, it will generate small holes, coupled with the approach of chloridion, it will form a strong corrosive solution, which will accelerate the corrosion reaction rate, as well as the corrosion cracking inside the vibrating sieve, all of these will have a destructive effect on the surface of the stainless steel vibrating sieve.

Therefore, stainless steel surface needs cleaning and maintenance punctually, especially in the corrosive environment to ensure its beautiful surface and extend the use life. It is necessary to pay more attention to not scratch the surface during cleaning, and please avoid cleaning the surface by using liquid bleaching composition or abrasives, steel wool and abrasive stuff, in order to clean up the washing liquid, please clean it with water again after finishing scrubbing the surface.
